719-21 E. 5th st, Ave C and D Joseph and Emily Schaffler were the grantors of 713, 715, 717, 719 and 721 which were identical. They also printed their last name on every terra cotta ornament I found, in black india ink.

Multi-piece terra cotta spandrel with associated pieces, and cherub spandrel panel. These came from a series of several identical buildings: 713,15,17,19 and 21 East 5th Street, North side of East 5th Street between Avenue C and D.

The city records showed these buildings were built by a Mr J.Schaffler with his wife Emily and son Jo-Junior. Every piece of terra cotta had their last name on them brushed on with black india ink.
